The Canal Day Festival is an old-time country fair that celebrates the Morris Canal, and its contributions to the development of the communities along its banks. Come and enjoy free kayak rides, and narrated boat tours on the canal. 10 bands performing on two stages, animal and old western cowboy shows, historical demonstrations, as well as 150 fine art and craft vendors. Step back in time while visiting a medieval tent village with sword fighting, axe throwing and 16th century period craft demonstrations. Visit two civil war re-enactments with small weapons and canon firing demonstrations. End the day with a fabulous firework display. Off-street parking is available for $5.00.
