National Night Out Events in New Jersey 2022

National Night Out is a community-police awareness raising event held each year on the first Tuesday of August. New Jersey hosts over 100 National Night Out events in municipalities all around the state, ranging from community police meet & greets with refreshments, to full blown celebrations with music, fireworks and more!

Atlantic

  • Brigantine: August 2nd
    • National Night Out in Brigantine is held at the 26th St baseball fields from 6-9pm. The event will have local vendors, games, food, a police hay ride, SWAT demonstrations, K9 officers, and fun for the whole family!

  • Buena Vista Twp: August 2nd
    • Buena Vista’s National Night Out will be held at Michael Debbi Park in Richland from 6-8pm. This family friendly event will have fire, EMS, police, and forest fire service vehicles to see and touch, community groups and organizations on site with info and giveaways, food & goodie bags, and more!

  • Ventnor City: August 2nd
    • National Night Out in Ventnor takes place behind the Ventnor City library on S Newport Ave from 5-8pm and features public safety vehicle displays, free food and refreshments, DJ entertainment, face painting, inflatable rides, a concert by The Exceptionsย from 7-10pm, and much more!

  • Fair Lawn: August 2nd
    • National Night Out in Fair Lawn takes place at Schmidt Field, located behind Memorial Middle School, from 7-9pm. The event will have emergency service vehicles, children activities, food trucks, snacks, vendors, information on crime prevention, free giveaways, and more! Rain date for this event is August 4th.

  • Lodi: August 2nd
    • NNO in Lodi takes place at Memorial Park from 6-9pm. The event is hosted by the Lodi PD and Lodi Recreation and will have lot’s of giveaways, the National Guard’s inflatable funhouse, live music by NY State of Mind, and more!

  • Maywood: August 2nd
    • Maywood’s National Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, August 2, from 6pm-9pm at Memorial Park, and will feature demonstrations, activities, rides and more!

  • Paramus: August 2nd
    • Paramus will have their National Night Out at the Paramus Public Library grounds from 5-7pm. This family friendly event will have the Police Departmentโ€™s Motorcycle unit, Fire Department and Rescue units, crafts, games & activities, followed by a concert by EpicSoul as part of the Paramus Summer Concert Series.

  • South Hackensack: August 2nd
    • The South Hackensack PD will host the township’s 15th annual National Night Out from 6-9pm at the Town Hall parking lot. This family friendly community event will have displays and demonstrations by local public safety departments, snacks and refreshments, giveaways, and rides.

  • Teaneck: August 2nd
    • NNO in Teaneck is held at Votee Park from 5-8pm. The event will have local and county emergency service personnel on hand along with their vehicles and equipment on display, DJ entertainment, bounce houses, face painting, local business and organization booths, games, and more!

  • Bordentown: August 2nd
    • National Night Out in Bordentown takes place at Joseph Lawrence Park from 6-9pm. Activities include a meet & greet with township officers, food and refreshments, emergency vehicles on display, K9 demonstration, obstacle course, cops vs kids basketball, games, music, and lot’s more!

  • Florence: August 2nd
    • National Night Out in Florence is held at the Municipal Complex from 4:30-7:30pm. There will be free food and refreshments while supplies last, DJ entertainment, Florence’s K-9 officer along with K-9 unit Bolo, Florence Twp patrol vehicles on display, demonstrations by the Florence Fire Dept and EMS, information tables, and family fun!

  • Mount Laurel: August 2nd
    • Mount Laurel’s National Night Out is held at the Municipal Complex from 5:30-8pm. Come out and spend a night with the Mount Laurel Police along with DJ entertainment, food trucks and free snacks, free face painting, police K9’s, police cars & fire trucks, and family fun!

  • Barrington: August 2nd
    • Barrington Boro’s National Night Out will be held from 6-9pm at Wish Upon a Star Park on Reading Ave. The celebration will have a bounce house, face painters, ice cream, and family fun!

  • Gloucester City: August 2nd
    • National Night Out in Gloucester City will take place at Proprietors Park from 6-9pm. The event is hosted by the GCPD and PBA Local #40 and will have a dunk tank with special guests, bounce house, circus performers, snacks and refreshments, and a free bike raffle.

  • Lindenwold: August 2nd
    • National Night Out in Lindenwold will be held at Lindenwold Park from 6-9pm. The event will have a helicopter landing by the Army National Guard, Camden County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit, fly over by the US Coast Guard, food, vendors, bounce houses, DJ entertainment, and local businesses and organizations.

  • Pine Hill: August 2nd
    • Pine Hill’s NNO is held from 6-10pm at the Overbrook High School practice football field and features an outdoor showing of Pixar’s Luca, inflatable rides, games, snacks and refreshments, and more!

  • Voorhees: August 2nd
    • Voorhees Township’s 7th Annual National Night Out will be held from 6:30-8:30pm at Connolly Park. Meet local police officers, K-9 units, firefighters, EMTโ€™s, and numerous other public service providers. There will also be carnival attractions, food, and games as well as a demonstration by the K-9 unit.

  • Winslow Twp: August 2nd
    • Winslow Township’s National Night Out takes place at Winslow Twp High School from 6-9pm. This community event features a meet and greet with township officers, detectives, and investigators; displays by federal, state, and local representatives; food vendors, bounce houses, and family fun!

    • National Night Out in Cape May is held outside of the Cape May Convention Hall from 5:30-8:30pm. This free community event will have beach games, bounce houses, dunk tank, Cape May fire department and US Coast Guard, food & refreshments, a magic show at 7pm, and family fun!

  • Wildwood: August 2nd
    • Wildwood’s NNO celebration is held at Fox Park, across from the Wildwood Convention Center, from 5:30-8:30pm and will have free games, food, prizes, dunk tank, and fun for the whole family!

  • Millville: August 2nd
    • The City of Millville Police Department will hold a big National Night Out event from 6-9pm at Lakeside Middle School. This free event features emergency vehicles on display, K-9 demonstration, DJ entertainment, Nat the Knight and McGruff the Crime Dog, games & giveaways, and a fireworks display to cap off the celebration at 9pm.

  • Fairfield: August 2nd
    • Fairfield’s National Night Out is held at the Fairfield Rec Complex on Hollywood Ave from 5-9pm. The event will have food and games for $1 each (or $25 for unlimited food & games), live music by The Infernosย along with DJ entertainment by Eye to Eye events, and more!

  • Livingston: August 2nd
    • Festivities will be held at the Oval starting at 5:30pm, and will have rides, games, emergency service vehicles and helicopter, hot dogs and drinks, tethered hot air balloon rides (tickets must be purchased in advance), and fun for the whole family!

  • Millburn: August 2nd
    • National Night Out activities in Millburn take place at Taylor Park from 6-9pm, and will feature local food vendors, bounce houses and obstacle course, game truck, DJ entertainment, and police, fire, EMS, and first responder vehicles.

  • South Orange: August 2nd
    • The South Orange’s National Night Out is held at Flood’s Hill from 4-10pm. This free community event features inflatable rides, DJ entertainment, giveaways, and more!

  • West Caldwell: August 2nd
    • West Caldwell’s National Night Out will be held from 6-9pm at Essex Valley School. There will be West Caldwell Police, Fire, and First Aid vehicles on display; DJ entertainment, food and Italian ice by the Boy Scout Troop 9, games, inflatable slide, “dunk a cop” dunk tank, face painting, and more!

    • Deptford’s National Night Out takes place at the Deptford Rec Center from 6-8pm. Come out and meet local first responders, elected officials, and neighbors along with free food, K-9 demonstrations, music, touch-a-truck, and family fun!

  • Washington Twp: August 2nd
    • National Night Out in Washington Township will be held at Washington Lake Park from 6-9pm. Come out for a night of fun featuring emergency vehicles on display along with a helicopter landing, K-9 demonstration, hot air balloon rides, WTPD BBQ, over 40 vendors, inflatable rides, face painting, giveaways, DJ entertainment, and much more!

    • National Night Out in East Windsor is held at the PAL Complex on Airport Rd from 6-9pm. The event features police car tours, fire and rescue displays, canine drug detections demonstrations, DJ entertainment, refreshments, inflatable obstacle course, toy axe throwing game, and more!

  • Hopewell Twp: August 2nd
    • Hopewell Township’s National Night Out is held at Stony Brook Elementary School from 6-8pm. The event is hosted by the Hopewell Twp PD and PBA 342 and will have Fire and EMS displays, free food, bounce house and dunk tank, entertainment, and fun for the whole family!

    • South Plainfield’s NNO celebration is held in the municipal parking lot, behind the library and municipal building, from 6-9pm and features a meet and greet with borough police officers, activities for families, food & refreshments, giveaways, music, and more!

    • The Deal Police Department and Thunder 106 will host Deal’s National Night Out at Deal Casino Beach Club from 5-8pm. Free food and refreshments will be provided as well as fun and games for the whole family!

    • Freehold’s National Night Out will be held in the parking lot of iPlay America from 5-9pm. Learn about and explore emergency vehicles and equipment, meet local emergency service personnel, and enjoy free indoor rides and snacks!

  • Manasquan: August 2nd
    • Manasquan’s National Night Out will be held at Squan Plaza from 6-9pm. Come out for a night of family fun featuring live music, snacks & refreshments, bouncy castle, face painting, cornhole, and more!

  • Neptune: August 2nd
    • Neptune’s National Night Out is held from 5-8pm at Midtown Community Elementary School. Hosted by the Neptune PD and Thunder 106, this event features free food and refreshments, bike giveaways, and fun and games for the whole family!

  • Spring Lake Heights: August 2nd
    • The Spring Lake Heights Police Dept will hold National Night Out from 5pm to dusk at Joseph E. Robertson Park. Come out and meet your local officers along with free food, emergency vehicle displays, DJ entertainment, games, face painting, and more!

    • The Chatham Borough Police Department will host National Night Out at Memorial Park from 5-8pm. Spend a fun-filled evening with members of the Chatham Police, Fire, and Public Works departments along with live music by Jacob Mathews, food trucks, games, dunk tank, giveaways, and more!

  • Denville: August 2nd
    • National Night Out in Denville will be held along Broadway in downtown from 6-9pm. The event will feature Police, Fire, and EMS units; K9 demo by the Morris County Sheriff, music by The Gup, bounce house and dunk tank, free bicycle helmets for kids, and a showing of The Incredibles at dusk.

  • Dover: July 30th
    • Dover’s Night Out will be held on Saturday, July 30th, from 5-8pm at the Crescent Field Parking Lot on S Morris St. Come out for a night of family fun featuring face painting, local DJs, Police, Fire, and Sherriff Dept vehicles; NJ State Police helicopter, and more!

  • Madison: August 2nd
    • National Night Out is held along Waverly Place in downtown Madison from 5:00-8:30pm. The event will have giveaways, free games and bounce house, a flyover by the NJSP, live music by Rock & Roll Russo, police, fire, and ambulance personnel; free Kona ice and hotdogs, and fun for the entire family!

  • Mount Olive: August 2nd
    • Festivities will be held at Turkey Brook Park from 6-10pm. This free community event will have inflatable rides and obstacle courses, food, live music, hot air balloon, dunk tank, oversized games, pony rides, Rizzo’s Reptiles, NJARNG Black Hawk, and fireworks. Rain date for the event is August 3rd.

    • The Lakehurst and Manchester Twp Police Departments will host a big National Night Out event from 6-9pm at Lake Horicon Park in Lakehurst. Festivities include free food and refreshments, live music, first responder equipment and vehicles on display, K-9 and SWAT demonstrations, traffic safety & DWI simulation course, business vendors, and more!

  • Little Egg Harbor: August 2nd
    • Little Egg Harbor’s National Night Out will be held from 5-8pm at the LEH Sports Complex. Come out for a night of family fun including emergency service demonstrations, DJ entertainment, UH-60 Black Hawk, gams & dunk tank, Wicked Car Club Cruise Night, food trucks, and more! Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the local food pantry.

  • Long Beach: August 2nd
    • National Night Out in Long Beach Island will be held at Bayview Park in Long Beach from 5-9pm. The celebration features police, fire, first aid & beach patrol displays; K-9, water rescue, and drone demonstrations; inflatable attractions and obstacle course, live music by Gypsy Moon and Jason Booth & Ted Hammock along with WBNJ radio, food vendors, giveaways, and fireworks at dark.

  • Plumsted: August 2nd
    • The Plumsted Police Department will host National Night Out from 3-7pm at New Egypt High School. Meet your local police officers along with DJ entertainment, food trucks, bounce house, obstacle course, rock climbing, and more!

  • Stafford Twp: August 2nd
    • Stafford’s NNO festivities take place at Manahawkin Lake Park from 5-8pm. Activities include police and K9 demonstrations, annual Cardboard Boat Regatta, food trucks, BMX bike demo, inflatable rides, face painting, entertainment by Fritz Electric, and a flyover by the US Coast Guard – Air Station Atlantic City.

  • Toms River: August 2nd
    • The Toms River Police Department will hold National Night Out from 5-8pm at Huddy Park. Come out for a night of family fun featuring first responder displays, K9 and motorcycle demos, entertainment by DJ Tony Tunes, face painting, food trucks, games, and more!

  • Franklin Twp: August 2nd
    • Franklin Township’s National Night Out takes place at the Municipal Complex from 6-9pm. This family friendly community event will have food vendors, carnival games, police, fire, and construction vehicles and equipment to explore; live music by Due South in the gazebo, and more! Parking will be available in the lot next to the gazebo, at Sampson G Smith School, & at the BOE building (Amwell & Charles St.)

  • Somerville: August 2nd
    • Somerville’s National Night Out is held at the Carol Pager Sports Complex (across from the YMCA) from 6-8pm. This free community event will have food and refreshments, games & activities, a dunk tank, music and performances by Somerville’s School of Rock and Elite Dance Center, and demonstrations by the Somerset County Sheriff Dept and SWAT.

    • Elizabeth’s National Night Out takes place at Hanratty Field (Westfield & Highland Ave) from 6-8pm, and will have first responder vehicles on display, food, vendors, music, and fun family activities followed by an outdoor movie at 8:30pm.

  • New Providence: August 2nd
    • New Providence will have a large National Night Out celebration at New Providence High School. Festivities begin at 7pm with games & activities, giveaways, food, police – fire – and EMS meet and greet, a concert by the NJ Jazz Academy of Elefante Music, and a fireworks display at dusk.

  • Roselle Park: August 2nd
    • National Night Out festivities in Roselle Park will take place at Michael J. Mauri Park (Chestnut & E Grant Ave) from 6-9pm and feature a meet & greet with the police and fire department, DJ entertainment, food trucks, and inflatable rides. Free for residents of all ages!

  • Summit: August 2nd
    • National Night Out in Summit, the township’s “Biggest Night Out,” will be held at Summit Village Green starting at 6pm. The celebration will have food trucks, obstacle courses and bounce houses, children’s entertainer, a concert by Twice Heard, along with displays and demonstrations by Summit police, fire, EMS, and public works as well as by the Union County K-9 unit and SWAT.

  • Union Twp: August 2nd
    • Union Township’s National Night Out festivities will be held at the Union Police Department Headquarters from 5-9pm and will feature a tour of the headquarters, Dunk-a-Cop dunk tank, family activities, food, music and DJ entertainment, SWAT, Police, Fire & EMS exhibits, and more! Parking is available at Burnet Middle School.

    • Hackettstown’s NNO will be held at the fields adjacent to the Community Pool from 6-10pm. The event will have vehicles on display by the Hackettstown Fire Department and Rescue Squad, a demonstration by the Drill Team from Puppy-Wuppy Dog Training, Marley’s Wings & Things Food Truck, free swimming lessons at the pool from 6-8pm, outdoor showing of Sing 2 at dusk, and much more.
