The Mt. Carmel Society of Berkeley Heights will be holding their annual Mount Carmel Feast on new dates in 2019, running from Tuesday, July 16th through Saturday, July 20th, located at the Mt. Carmel Society grounds on Springfield Ave & River Rd.
The five day festival will have carnival rides for all ages, live entertainment, a selection of delicious food and treats, carnival games & prizes, vendors, and much more! Pay one Price carnival ride wristbands will be available on July 19th and 20th for $25 per wristband/per night. Individual ride tickets will also be available every night.
The festival will feature two spectacular fireworks displays by the world-renowned Garden State Fireworks. The Fireworks Extravaganza will be held on July 16th, the feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and will be at 10pm. The July 16th display is one of the finest fireworks shows in the state and is highly recommended by NJ Carnivals! The second display is the mini “Family Friendly” fireworks, held on July 20th at 9:30pm with live music by Bon Jersey prior to the display.
Admission is free Wednesday through Saturday. On July 16th, admission will be $10 per person (Free for children 5 and under.) Family packages are available at the gate: buy 4 admissions, get the 5th for free!

On July 16th, Springfield Ave will close to all traffic starting at 6pm. All parking will be off-site on the 16th. Handicap parking will be available at Columbia Middle School on Plainfield Ave. Shuttle service from Columbia Middle School to the front gate will be available from 6pm-9:45pm on July 16th. There will be return shuttle service, but not until after the event is over and pedestrian traffic has cleared.
Festivities on July 16th kick off at 8am with a procession through the streets of Berkeley Heights with the Blessed Mother statue and a band playing Italian music. All are welcome to join the procession at any time throughout the route! The procession is followed by a short Mass at Little Flower Church with a free picnic at Peppertown Park afterwards. The festival grounds will open at 6pm with the fireworks extravaganza at 10pm.
