Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

The Mt Carmel Society of Berkeley Heights will be holding their annual Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel festival from Friday, July 13th through Monday, July 16th, located at the Mt. Carmel Society grounds on Springfield Ave & River Rd. The four day festival will have carnival rides for all ages, a selection of delicious food and treats, carnival games, vendors, and much more.

The festival features two fireworks displays by Garden State Fireworks. Sunday night, July 15th, is the Mini Fireworks Show starting at 9:30pm (no parking on the fairgrounds on Sunday.) The following night, July 16th, is the Fireworks Extravaganza starting at approximately 11pm. The Fireworks Extravaganza is a highly regarded display and features rarely seen groundwork and elaborate exhibition fireworks.

Admission is free on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Admission on July 16th is $15 per person (Free for children 5 and under.)

On July 16th, Springfield Ave will close to all traffic starting at 6pm. All parking will be off-site on the 16th with parking available at Columbia Middle School on Plainfield Ave. Shuttle service will be available to the front gate from 6-10:30pm on Monday night. There will be return shuttle service, but not until after the event is over and pedestrian traffic has cleared.

Pay one Price carnival ride wristbands will be available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for $25 per wristband/per night. Wristbands will not be available on July 16th. Individual ride tickets will be available on all 4 days.

The feast day, July 16th, will kick off at 8am with a procession through the streets of Berkeley Heights with the Blessed Mother statue and a band playing Italian music.  All are welcome to join the procession at any time throughout the route! The procession is followed by a short mass at Little Flower Church with a picnic at Peppertown Park afterwards.
